Data Center Technician - Cabling

Park Place is hiring multiple Data Center Technicians with cabling experience to support a short-term data center project in Abernathy, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for technicians seeking consistent hours and significant overtime potential on a fast-paced project.

Technicians will perform copper and fiber cable checks within racks, conduct quality assurance inspections, scan equipment assets, and assist with IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform copper and fiber cable checks within data center racks.
• Conduct quality assurance (QA) checks to verify cabling and installation accuracy.
• Scan and track equipment and data center assets.
• Assist with IMAC activities, including installing, moving, adding, and changing equipment.
• Follow project procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Work with the onsite team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

• Previous data center, structured cabling, or IT technician experience preferred.
• Familiarity with copper and fiber cabling and rack-level cable checks.
• Ability to perform asset scanning and basic quality assurance inspections.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite in Abernathy, TX.
• Willingness to work extended schedules, including 6-7 days per week and overtime as needed.
