Job description
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer - Building Automation (DDC Programmer) to develop and support software for DDC controls, HVAC automation, and integrated building systems. This role is ideal for someone passionate about programming, commissioning, and systems integration within the building automation industry., * Develop project-specific BAS software, graphics, and control logic in accordance with company standards.
- Coordinate and support all software-related project tasks, including vendor interfaces and system integration.
- Interpret mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings and develop sequences of operation.
- Write, compile, test, and install HVAC control programs utilizing BACnet, Modbus, and other open protocols.
- Support commissioning engineers during startup, testing, and project turnover.
- Create, maintain, and improve standard software libraries.
- Provide technical support to the Service Department for troubleshooting and controls diagnostics.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, field teams, and customers to ensure successful project execution.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Software engineering?, * 5+ years of experience programming DDC/BAS systems.
- Strong understanding of networking, temperature controls, and integrated building systems.
- Experience with HVAC systems, control sequences, and facility automation.
- Familiarity with construction methods, installation standards, and field coordination.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and accountability skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Schneider Electric EcoStruxure or related Schneider BAS platforms strongly preferred.
- Candidates with Niagara, Automated Logic, Siemens, or Johnson Controls experience are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Visio, or similar design tools.
