UNCOMN is seeking a Cloud Engineer 4 (Senior, DevSecOps) to:

  • Design and maintain infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation aligned to AWS and internal platform standards.
  • Implement and improve GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines, security gates, and environment promotion workflows.
  • Support Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, and related automation used to provision and manage cloud environments.
  • Integrate validation, scanning, and release controls into delivery pipelines to improve quality and traceability.
  • Partner with cloud, application, and security teams to operationalize secure and repeatable delivery practices.
  • Help produce delivery evidence, deployment records, and automation guidance needed for governed environments.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Version control?, * 8+ years of related experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, CMIS, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or 4 additional years of related experience.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure-as-code in cloud environments.
  • Experience building or supporting deployment pipelines that include testing, validation, and security checks.
  • Working knowledge of GitLab or comparable source-control and pipeline tooling.
  • Experience with Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, or similar infrastructure automation frameworks.
  • Strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills across engineering and security teams.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance or similar, granted by the U.S. Government, which requires U.S. citizenship. The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual’s eligibility.
  • Must be willing to obtain relevant certifications as required by future client or contract needs.

Preferred

  • Experience with AWS GovCloud, IDP-aligned delivery models, or regulated cloud automation.
  • Familiarity with security scanning, policy-as-code, and release evidence collection.
  • Experience supporting containerized delivery or Kubernetes-based environments.
  • Candidates local to the St. Louis Metro East market/within commuting distance preferred, although not required.
