Job description

We are seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Technician to support and maintain enterprise network and telecommunications infrastructure in Minot, ND. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment, fiber optic cabling, network troubleshooting, rack and stack deployments, and onsite infrastructure support., * Respond to ServiceNow incidents, requests, and support tickets

  • Install, remove, replace, and support network infrastructure equipment
  • Perform rack and stack activities for routers, switches, and related hardware
  • Install, patch, label, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues using standard networking tools and techniques
  • Identify switch ports, network circuits, and demarcation points
  • Perform DNS lookups, ping tests, and basic network diagnostics
  • Support network hardware maintenance and equipment upgrades
  • Provide smart hands support for remote network engineering teams
  • Assist with network moves, adds, changes, and equipment deployments
  • Support wireless infrastructure, VoIP systems, and telecommunications equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and ticket updates
  • Follow change management, security, safety, and operational procedures
  • Collaborate with network engineers, telecom providers, vendors, and internal support teams
  • Assist with troubleshooting and restoration of network and telecommunications services

Requirements

Do you have experience in Ticketing system technical support?, This position requires strong technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform installation, maintenance, and support activities for network, telecom, wireless, and voice systems in a fast-paced enterprise environment., * 5+ years of experience supporting network infrastructure and network-related devices

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches
  • Experience with fiber optic and copper cabling installation and troubleshooting
  • Experience with rack and stack deployments
  • Knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, and LAN/WAN technologies
  • Experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues
  • Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure
  • Ability to work independently in an onsite environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCNA Certification
  • Experience with VoIP/IP Telephony systems
  • Experience supporting wireless networks and WiFi infrastructure
  • Data center or telecom environment experience
  • Experience with smart hands support and remote engineering teams
