Job description

The Aircraft Support Supervisor supports the Operations Manager or Director with daily safety, quality, and HR-related tasks at Gulfstream facilities. Key responsibilities include training new employees on SOPs, enforcing safety policies, conducting operational walkthroughs, and assisting with interviews, performance reviews, badge renewals, corrective actions, and investigations. This role also supports the implementation of safety measures to reduce workplace incidents and ensure compliance., * Support the Operations Manager or Director in daily safety, quality, and HR-related activities.

  • Train new employees on SOPs and cover safety policies and compliance requirements within Gulfstream facilities.

  • Conduct interviews for new staff as required.

  • Assist management in daily walkthroughs of operations to ensure SOPs and safety policies are being followed.

  • Implement new safety measures to reduce workplace incidents and minimize injuries and accidents.

  • Work with management to assist in HR-related matters including performance reviews, badge renewals, corrective actions, and investigations.

  • Act as a liaison between frontline staff and management to ensure effective communication, employee engagement, and alignment with company policies.

  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.

  • Prior experience in aviation is a plus.

  • Prior supervisor experience is required.

  • Intermediate or highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, including documents.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices such as iPads, tablets, computers, and mobile devices.

  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means.

  • Pass a background check and drug screen.

  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).

  • Must be flexible to work extended hours on occasion to support field operations.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:

  • Must be able to reach with arms and grasp with hands.

  • Must be able to push and pull.

  • Must be able to climb and work at elevated heights.

  • Exposure to moderate and at times high noise levels.

  • Exposure to biohazards and/or chemicals.

  • Exposure to outdoor elements.

  • Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms.

  • Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
