Configuration Technician

A client in the Vernon Hills area is looking to bring on “Technician Ones” to work in their Configuration Department. Tech 1s will be responsible for configuring a number of devices as specified by over 100 clients that they service. They will read Requirements Documents, then pull, open and configure devices such as laptops, chromebooks, PCs, tablets, phones, printers, etc - to whatever the client’s specifications, which can range from a simple image, to a complex image with server configuration, user set up, and personalization. They will be in a warehouse environment and work on over 100 benches with the equipment laid out across the benches. Contractors will be on their feet for the entirety of the day moving from device to device to configure them, alerting a Lead/Quality Analyst when they are finished, and then packing the boxes and closing them back up when finished. Overtime is possible if wanted. They will be configuring all new equipment, not fixing existing hardware, and will mostly be working on one specific client’s devices, but as the needs change, they could work on other devices.

NOTE: no cell phones or other electronics will be permitted in the warehouse - they can be left in a locker room or your vehicle

Do you have experience in Customer communication?, 1-3 years PC Tech experience - configuring/setting up laptops or computers

-Windows 10

-Laptop/PC/cell phone/tablet/printer Configuration experience

-Must be able to be on feet ALL DAY

-Able to push/pull/lift 50 lbs

-OK working in a warehouse-type environment

-Customer Service/Communication skills - could be dealing directly with clients

-Reliable transportation
