Job description

DesignHOME is developing a next-generation residential design and construction platform built around repeatable design standards, configurable home models, and data-driven cost intelligence.

We are seeking a highly analytical and systems-oriented professional to design, organize, and maintain the data framework that powers our estimating and configuration platform.

This role is not focused on purchasing, project management, construction supervision, or traditional estimating. Instead, the position centers on building the underlying structure that connects home designs, upgrade packages, trade scopes, material selections, and cost information into a scalable and continuously improving system.

The successful candidate will create and manage the data architecture that allows DesignHOME to accurately estimate homes, evaluate design options, track cost performance, and continuously improve pricing accuracy through feedback from completed projects.

This position sits at the intersection of data systems, business operations, product configuration, and cost intelligence., * Design and maintain the core data structure that organizes homes, assemblies, trade categories, suppliers, materials, options, and upgrade packages.

  • Build relationships between design decisions, material selections, trade scopes, and estimated costs.
  • Create scalable data models capable of supporting multiple home series, architectural styles, markets, and future expansion.
  • Develop and maintain configurable estimating frameworks that generate both customer-facing pricing and internal cost projections.
  • Establish processes for incorporating historical project costs, current pricing, and future cost updates into a continuous feedback loop.
  • Create data standards, naming conventions, classifications, and organizational structures that ensure consistency across projects.
  • Develop reporting dashboards and analytical tools that improve visibility into cost performance and pricing trends.
  • Work closely with leadership, design staff, and construction teams to translate real-world project information into structured data.
  • Continuously improve data quality, system usability, and scalability.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Data-driven problem-solving?, * Experience designing, organizing, or managing complex business data systems.

  • Strong understanding of relational databases, structured data, and information architecture.
  • Experience with Airtable, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Notion, SQL databases, ERP systems, CPQ systems, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to think systematically and build frameworks that remain flexible as organizations grow.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Comfort working with datasets, categories, classifications, and interconnected information.
  • Experience building operational systems, configuration systems, product catalogs, cost databases, or similar structured business tools.
  • Interest in architecture, residential design, construction, manufacturing, product configuration, or building systems is helpful but not required.

About the company

DesignHOME is rethinking how homes are designed, configured, and costed. Rather than relying on disconnected spreadsheets and manual processes, we are building a structured, data-driven platform that connects design decisions, product options, material selections, and cost intelligence into a unified system.

This role offers a rare opportunity to create foundational infrastructure rather than simply maintain existing processes. You will help design the framework that supports how homes are configured, estimated, analyzed, and improved over time.

If you enjoy building systems, organizing complex information, solving operational challenges, and creating tools that have real-world impact, this position offers the opportunity to shape the future of a growing company from the ground up.

Your work will not live inside a database alone. It will influence the homes we design, the decisions we make, and the way the company scales for years to come.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
