Job description

We are seeking a dynamic, high-energy, ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager specializing in Cybersecurity Services and IT Maintenance, to lead our local market expansion and hunt for new revenue.

We are a fast-growing Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) and IT Maintenance company based right here in Glen Burnie, Maryland. We provide cybersecurity, data protection services for small and medium-sized businesses across Maryland and the DC metro area.

Your energetic approach and strategic mindset will empower organizations to enhance their security posture and optimize their IT infrastructure. This position offers an exciting chance to lead business expansion efforts in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

The Role (What You’ll Be Doing)

This is a high-activity, field sales ā€œboots-on-the-groundā€ sales position. You will be the face of our company in the local business community, putting in the hard miles to convert prospects into long-term partners.

  • Local Prospecting: Identify and target small-to-medium businesses (15-100 users) in Anne Arundel, Howard, Baltimore, and surrounding counties. [1]
  • Field Networking: Attend local chamber of commerce meetings, BNI groups, and regional business expos to build a robust local referral network.
  • Consultative Discovery: Meet face-to-face with business owners and decision-makers to discuss their current IT challenges and cyber risks.
  • Lead Generation: Identify, prospect, and qualify high-value potential clients through cold outreach, networking, and digital channels.
  • Campaign Execution: Design and execute targeted marketing campaigns to build a consistent pipeline of inbound inquiries.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Sales presentations?, * Proven Hunting Background: 2+ years of experience in B2B outbound sales (experience in IT services, telecom, copiers, or payroll sales is highly preferred).

  • Local DMV Network: Deep familiarity with the local business landscape in Maryland and DC.
  • The ā€œHustleā€ Mentality: You love the thrill of the chase and are comfortable with cold calling, cold door-knocking, and intensive LinkedIn prospecting.
  • Technical Literacy: You don’t need to be an engineer, but you must be able to confidently explain concepts like cloud backups, ransomware risks, and network maintenance.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles to support outreach efforts and brand positioning
  • Reliable Transportation: Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for daily travel to client sites across the region.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging clients at all levels and delivering persuasive presentations
