Overall Activities: We currently have an opening for a Controls Design Engineer in our Mansfield, MA office. This position will involve the design of Industrial Control Panels for Semiconductor, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, and Heavy Industry clients. As a member of our team, you’ll perform the following duties:
- Creating control panel layouts, point-to-point wiring and network architecture drawings.
- Specifying and selecting control system hardware (PLC and HMI), control panel components, network switches, instruments, motor controls, and valves.
- Conducting field surveys of existing facilities for retrofit projects.
- Coordinating with clients, fellow engineers, and the control panel shop to ensure the design meets project requirements.
- Overseeing panel fabrication and reviewing and performing quality checks of the designs of fellow engineers.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Motor control equipment?, * 5+ years of experience in the design of Industrial Control Panels.
- Industrial Control System (PLC and HMI) hardware, motors/motor controls and instrumentation knowledge required. Allen Bradley platform experience, a plus.
- Familiar with designing infrastructure for industrial communication networks.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Strong computer skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in AutoCAD software and experience with EPLAN design software, a plus.
- Knowledge of UL 508A, 698A and NNNY Standards, a plus.
- Excellent communications skills.
