Job description

The IT Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day management, support, and advancement of the technology systems that enable the operations of the Circuit Clerk’s Office. This position plays a critical role in maintaining secure, reliable, and efficient IT infrastructure supporting court services, internal staff, and external stakeholders including law enforcement and judicial partners., Infrastructure & Systems Administration

  • Administer and support Windows Server environments, IBM iSeries, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity across on-premises and cloud infrastructure
  • Maintain enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery systems
  • Support networking components including VPN, firewalls, and secure remote access

Application & Platform Support

  • Provide support for court case management systems (e.g., DUCS) and related applications
  • Assist with system integrations, updates, and enhancements supporting court operations
  • Collaborate with vendors and development teams on application support and issue resolution

Cloud & Identity Management

  • Support Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, and hybrid configurations
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and identity synchronization
  • Monitor and maintain email systems, domain configurations, and identity services

Security & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain security best practices across infrastructure and applications
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation, audits, and compliance initiatives (e.g., CJIS, NIST)
  • Monitor logs, alerts, and system activity for potential security incidents

Operational Support & Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across servers, applications, and network systems
  • Provide escalation support for service desk and end-user issues
  • Document systems, configurations, and operational processes

Project Participation

  • Support IT infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts
  • Participate in planning and execution of system implementations and enhancements
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors on project deliverables, * On-site presence is required. This is not a remote position.
  • Reports to the Director of IT
  • Collaborative IT team supporting county-wide judicial systems
  • Opportunity to contribute to modernization initiatives while supporting essential judicial services

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, * Experience with enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and networking

  • Expert with Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, IIS)
  • Experience supporting mission-critical applications in a government or judicial environment
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and respond effectively to operational needs

IBM i (iSeries) Training Opportunity

While experience with IBM i (iSeries) systems is beneficial, the Circuit Clerk’s Office is committed to providing training and professional development for candidates interested in learning IBM i administration. This ensures continuity and growth in supporting critical legacy systems essential to court operations.
