Job description

The QA Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves inspecting materials, monitoring production processes, conducting tests, and documenting results to maintain consistent product quality and safety., * Perform routine inspections and quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods

  • Conduct tests using established procedures and equipment
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
  • Identify defects, deviations, or non-conformances and report findings to management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, USDA, ISO, GMP as applicable)
  • Calibrate and maintain testing equipment as needed
  • Work closely with production teams to address quality issues in real time
  • Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

Do you have experience in Computer literacy?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in a related field preferred

  • 1-3 years of quality assurance or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of quality systems (GMP, HACCP, ISO, etc.) is a plus
  • Basic math and computer skills (Microsoft Excel, data entry systems)
  • English proficiency required for reading work instructions, completing documentation, and communicating quality and safety information
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Experience using iPads or similar devices for data entry and reporting
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, procedures, and technical documents

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in a food manufacturing environment, which may include cold, wet, and noisy conditions.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing and food processing setting
  • May require working flexible hours, weekends, or overtime based on production needs
