Job description

Exact Staff is seeking for reliable and knowledgeable Quality Assurance Technician for an agricultural warehouse in Arvin, CA. The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for monitoring product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance throughout the agriculture processing operation. This role conducts inspections, collects samples, performs quality testing, maintains accurate records, and helps ensure that all potato products meet company, customer, and industry standards., * Inspect incoming produce for quality, size, defects, and overall condition.

  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Perform routine quality checks on products throughout processing, packaging, and storage stages.
  • Collect and test product samples for moisture, color, texture, weight, temperature, and other quality specifications.
  • Verify compliance with HACCP, GMP, SQF, FDA, USDA, and company food safety requirements.
  • Complete and maintain accurate quality assurance documentation and inspection reports.
  • Identify quality issues and communicate findings to production supervisors and management.
  • Assist with investigations of product non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct sanitation inspections and environmental monitoring activities.
  • Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and coding of finished products.
  • Participate in internal audits and support external customer or regulatory audits.
  • Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Safety equipment?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or GED required

  • Previous quality assurance, food manufacturing, agricultural experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety programs such as HACCP and GMP is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality defects.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Physical and Work Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds during shifts.
  • Ability to work in cold, wet, and fast-paced food processing environments.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Manufacturing and food processing facility.
  • Exposure to production equipment, refrigerated areas, and varying temperatures.
  • May require overtime, weekend, and holiday work based on production schedules.
