Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Clerk to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate medical records, ensuring seamless access to patient information while supporting clinical and administrative staff. Your proactive approach will help uphold the integrity of medical documentation, facilitate efficient billing processes, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.   • Assist in coding diagnoses and procedures using ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT codes, and DRG classifications to support billing and reimbursement processes
  • Review medical records for completeness, accuracy, and consistency before filing or transferring data
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to update patient information accurately and promptly
  • Process requests for medical records from authorized personnel while maintaining confidentiality
  • Support billing departments by verifying coding details related to ICD coding, CPT coding, and other medical classifications

Requirements

Do you have experience in Organizational skills?, * Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards

  • Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems
  • Experience with medical coding including ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding, DRG classification, and ICD coding practices
  • Familiarity with medical billing processes and medical collection procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail for managing large volumes of records
  • Ability to interpret complex medical information accurately
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals and administrative staff
