Job description

This role will be responsible for maintaining application security, supporting CAPPS production operations, overseeing Managed Service Providers, ensuring compliance with security standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance system performance, governance, and operational effectiveness., * Perform security analysis and technical support activities for CPA and CAPPS application systems.

  • Support the development and execution of strategic roadmaps aligned with business and technology objectives.
  • Monitor and maintain application security controls, user access governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage Segregation of Duties (SoD) reviews and access control processes within multi-tenant PeopleSoft environments.
  • Support CAPPS Central production and deployment activities across multiple agencies and hub instances.
  • Administer and support PeopleSoft FSCM/HCM 9.2 environments, including security configurations and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with business, technical, and security teams to ensure secure and efficient system operations.
  • Oversee Managed Service Providers and vendors, ensuring contractual obligations and service level agreements are met.
  • Lead or support technical project management activities related to CAPPS initiatives and enterprise applications.
  • Conduct security assessments, risk reviews, and compliance monitoring activities.
  • Support data integration, data quality initiatives, and SDLC processes to ensure application integrity and reliability.
  • Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and security recommendations.
  • Participate in IT service management processes and support incident, problem, and change management activities following ITIL best practices.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, security procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Assist with procurement activities by developing technical requirements and specifications.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Vendor relationship management?, We are seeking a highly experienced Senior CAPPS Security Analyst to support enterprise-wide CAPPS and CPA application environments within a Texas public sector organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in PeopleSoft security, IT controls, Segregation of Duties (SoD), CAPPS operations, vendor management, and enterprise application support., * 10+ years of experience supporting Texas state government agencies or public sector organizations.

  • 10+ years of experience supporting CPA application systems and CAPPS environments.
  • 10+ years of experience with strategic planning and technology roadmap development.
  • 10+ years of experience preparing executive-level presentations and reports.
  • 10+ years of technical project management experience.
  • 10+ years of experience managing vendor relationships and contract compliance.
  • 10+ years of experience with SDLC methodologies, data integration, and data quality practices.
  • 10+ years of experience implementing IT security controls and governance processes.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with PeopleSoft FSCM/HCM 9.2, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Designer, SQL, PS Query, SQR, Application Engine, and Oracle 11g or higher.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting CAPPS Central production and deployment operations.
  • 8+ years of experience with IT service desk functions and ITIL methodologies.
  • 5+ years of experience serving in a Security Analyst role with responsibility for overseeing Managed Service Providers.
  • 5+ years of experience managing Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls in enterprise applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with software and hardware management best practices.
  • Experience supporting CPA legacy Statewide Financial Systems.
  • Experience developing technical specifications and procurement documentation.
  • Security, ITIL, or project management certifications are a plus
