Job description
- Ensure on a daily basis that all Quality Control policies and procedures are followed.
- Must ensure that all products are in compliance with USDA and Company Specifications.
- Must be able to recognize any violation of HACCP, GMP, quality, sanitation and food safety procedures and make immediate correction to any unacceptable situation or condition.
- Ensures adherence to CN and Commodity Processing (PCCP)Programs.
- Must ensure that all inbound raw materials are properly received in accordance with the Quality Control department’s processes.
- Accurate record keeping of receiving, in-process, and finished product inspections.
- Inspects, tests, weighs raw materials and finished products.
- Ensures compliance with the net weight program.
- Inventory control, labeling, and assurance of component/product trace ability.
- Ensures Raw Material always has a lot number and label.
- Monthly reporting on incoming and outgoing quality inspection activities.
- Records inspection data in various logs and notifies supervisors of irregularities.
- Interaction with all levels of management and technical staff on matters of quality.
- Responsible for monitoring the micro-finished product program and ensuring the implementation of the Hold/Release policy.
- May assist in assigning lot numbers to products and record product information.
- Entering data in the computer
Requirements
Do you have experience in Quality assurance within food and beverage industry?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * 2 years food manufacturing experience minimum.
- High school or equivalent.
- Should be able to read English. Knowledge of mathematics and computers (word, excel, etc.)., * Quality Assurance: 2 years (Required)
- Food manufacture: 2 years (Required)
- Microsoft Excel: 2 years (Required)
- Microsoft Office: 2 years (Required)
Language:
- Must be bilingual; Spanish / English (Required)
