Job description
We are seeking a Firepower Hardware Engineer to support hardware design, integration, documentation, and testing activities for military vehicle platforms. This role is focused on supporting vehicle-level hardware systems, electrical/electronic integration, turret/firepower hardware, wiring/harness interfaces, installation design, and troubleshooting in a defense engineering environment., * Support firepower hardware design, integration, and validation activities for military vehicle systems
- Develop and review hardware, electrical, wiring, interconnect, and installation documentation
- Support electrical harness, connector, device, and system interface development
- Work with engineering teams to resolve hardware integration, packaging, fit/form/function, and installation issues
- Support schematic interpretation, wiring diagrams, electrical installation drawings, and design release activities
- Interface with cross-functional engineering teams including electrical, mechanical, systems, software, manufacturing, and test teams
- Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, design reviews, and corrective action activities
- Work within engineering release systems and support documentation updates as required
- Support lab, prototype, or vehicle-level integration and verification activities
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical writing within technology?, * U.S. Citizenship required - do not apply without U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field preferred
- Experience supporting vehicle hardware, electrical hardware, harness design, wiring, schematics, or system integration
- Experience with military vehicles, defense systems, automotive systems, heavy vehicles, or similar complex platforms
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, installation drawings, and engineering documentation
- Experience with troubleshooting, design reviews, technical documentation, and cross-functional engineering support
- Ability to work onsite in Sterling Heights, MI, * Prior defense or military vehicle experience
- Experience with turret, firepower, mission equipment, vehicle electronics, or electrical hardware systems
- Experience with Teamcenter, VisMockup, Capital Harness, Capital Logic, Mentor Graphics, Creo, NX, or similar tools
- Experience with CAN, J1939, electrical interconnects, device libraries, connector selection, or harness validation
- Active or prior security clearance preferred
