Job description

We are seeking a talented and innovative Website Designer to join our dynamic team at Fortem International. In this in-house role, you will take ownership of our online presence, designing, building, and maintaining our websites to ensure they are visually compelling, on-brand, and delivering the best possible experience for our audience. Beyond the web, you will also support the wider business with design work across promotional and product materials, working closely with colleagues across marketing, content, and operations., * Design and develop our websites using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), including wireframes, prototypes, and finished designs.

  • Build and maintain responsive, cross-browser-compatible websites across our platforms.
  • Create graphics and visual assets for promotional campaigns, product imagery, and other design needs across the business.
  • Optimise our websites for SEO best practices using Google Analytics to improve our search visibility.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to continually refine and improve our web interfaces based on real data and feedback.
  • Keep our websites running smoothly, handling updates, troubleshooting, and performance improvements using PHP, MySQL, SQL, AJAX, and other back-end technologies.
  • Work with our content team to ensure our platforms support efficient, effective website management.
  • Stay on top of industry trends in web design, UX/UI, accessibility standards, and new technologies to keep our digital presence ahead of the curve.

Requirements

Do you have experience in UX?, * Proven experience in digital design with a strong portfolio of responsive, end-to-end web projects.

  • Proficiency in React
  • Solid grasp of UI/UX principles and wireframing tools such as Balsamiq or Axure.
  • Skilled in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, XD, and/or Figma.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and data-driven design decisions.
  • Strong understanding of SEO and technical optimisation strategies.
  • Experience using Lovable for AI-assisted web development.
