Job description
Imperial USA is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to oversee inventory accuracy and support warehouse operations. This role will be responsible for executing daily cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, maintaining accurate inventory records, and identifying process improvements to improve warehouse efficiency., * Perform daily cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and determine root causes of shortages, overages, receiving errors, picking errors, and bin transfer issues.
- Monitor inventory transactions to ensure accuracy of receipts, shipments, adjustments, and transfers.
- Maintain and organize warehouse bin locations and inventory storage practices.
- Work closely with receiving, shipping, and warehouse personnel to resolve inventory issues.
- Conduct inventory research and reconcile physical inventory to system inventory.
- Assist with annual physical inventory counts and inventory reporting.
- Develop and implement processes to improve inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
- Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, and damaged inventory.
- Ensure inventory-related procedures are followed consistently throughout the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, order picking, and other warehouse functions as needed.
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Generate inventory reports and provide recommendations for inventory improvements to management., * Inventory accuracy maintained at 99%+.
- Daily cycle counts completed on schedule.
- Inventory discrepancies identified and resolved promptly.
- Improved warehouse organization and location accuracy.
- Reduced picking, receiving, and shipping errors.
- Strong support of warehouse operations and customer service goals.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Material handling equipment operation?, The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, have strong problem-solving skills, and take ownership of inventory accuracy across thousands of SKUs including commercial door hardware, hollow metal doors, and frames., * 2+ years of inventory control, cycle counting, warehouse operations, or related experience.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse processes.
- Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to identify problems, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and basic reporting functions.
- Forklift experience required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple departments.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a distribution, wholesale, or warehouse environment.
- Experience conducting cycle counts and inventory reconciliations.
- Knowledge of commercial hardware, building materials, or industrial distribution is a plus.
- Experience with barcode scanning systems and inventory tracking software.
