Job description

We are hiring an experienced IT Support Technician to join our team. You will serve as a primary point of contact for our clients, delivering responsive, high-quality technical support across Windows and Mac environments. You will manage your own ticket queue, communicate directly with clients, and be trusted to resolve issues with a high degree of independence. Work is performed on-site at client locations and our office across New York City.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support across Windows 11 and macOS.
  • Manage users, groups, and permissions in Active Directory, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365.
  • Deploy Group Policy Objects and use PowerShell to automate routine tasks.
  • Image and configure workstations for new hires.
  • Own your ticket queue with a focus on first-contact resolution and clear documentation.
  • Support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Monday.com, Dropbox, and Zoom.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
  • Set up printers, peripherals, and conference room AV.
  • Support iOS and Android mobile devices.
  • Maintain asset inventory, licensing records, and client runbooks.
  • Handle employee onboarding and offboarding, including provisioning and equipment recovery.
  • Escalate complex issues while owning client communication throughout.

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS administration?, * 3 or more years in IT support, helpdesk, or desktop support.

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administrator, or ACSP.
  • Strong skills with Windows 11 and macOS in a business setting.
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell, Active Directory, Azure AD, and Intune.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Solid grasp of networking basics: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi-Fi.
  • Experience with RMM and PSA ticketing tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to juggle several client environments without losing attention to detail.
  • Discretion with confidential client information.
  • Based in or near New York City. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience at a Managed Service Provider.
