Data Center Engineer

• Rack, stack, and cable Cisco network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls) and UCS Systems in a data center environment
• Install and label copper and fiber cabling according to data center standards
• Perform hardware turn-ups, including power-on, port verification, and basic connectivity testing
• Follow detailed network diagrams, rack elevations, and installation documentation
• Assist with equipment moves, adds, and changes (MACs)
• Maintain accurate cable management, labeling, and documentation
• Coordinate with Network Engineers and Data Center Engineers during installs and upgrades
• Troubleshoot basic physical-layer issues (power, cabling, link lights)

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Center Engineer
• Experience with Racking, Stacking Cabling
• Experience with low voltage cabling
• Knowledge of data copper (Cat5/5E/6) and fiber optic cabling standards.
• Experience with CISCO network equipment (switches, routers)

Understanding of A/B power and network redundancy concepts
