Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Interface Engineer to support the design, development, and maintenance of integrations between electronic medical record systems and various third-party clinical and business applications. This individual will play a key role in delivering interoperability solutions that enhance the overall healthcare experience for patients and providers., * Design, develop, test, and support interfaces and integrations between EMR platforms and external applications.

  • Build and maintain integrations using Cloverleaf and FHIR APIs.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, project managers, and vendor teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve interface and API-related issues across multiple systems.
  • Participate in solution design discussions and recommend integration best practices.
  • Demonstrate completed work and support stakeholder reviews and approvals.
  • Follow Agile development methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and interface specifications.

Requirements

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working on complex integration challenges and has strong experience with Cloverleaf and FHIR-based APIs., * Hands-on experience with the Cloverleaf Interface Engine.

  • Strong understanding of FHIR APIs and SMART on FHIR integration approaches.
  • Experience with API authentication standards such as OAuth.
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards including HL7, XML, and ANSI X12.
  • Experience with API development, integration, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with network and communication protocols such as TCP/IP.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams., * Epic certification or prior experience working with Epic interoperability solutions.
  • Experience with Epic FHIR APIs and SMART on FHIR implementations.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow.
