Job description

Insight Global is hiring Sr. Java Developer to join our POS Team, supporting high-impact integration and feature work within our clients retail ecosystem. This role centers on backend engineering with a strong focus on Java-based development, data processing, and fresh feature builds. The ideal candidate is a sharp, analytical engineer who can ramp up quickly and contribute to both new development and production support as needed. This role is primarily focused on new development (80-90%) with occasional involvement in production issue resolution (10-15%).

Requirements

5-6 years of backend development experience

  • Strong proficiency in Java, Springboot, Microservices, SQL/PostegreSQL

  • Retail Experience

  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  • Solid understanding of integration architecture and backend services

  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills - POS

  • Triaging/troubleshooting

  • Familiarity with Jumpmind or similar POS Technology
