Job description

  • Build and maintain Python-based production systems
  • Learn a complex third-party Python library inside and out
  • Design and implement thorough unit tests
  • Identify and explain subtle differences in outputs, edge cases, and numerical behavior
  • Diagnose and resolve issues by reasoning through code and test results
  • Write clear, maintainable, well-tested Python
  • Communicate effectively with engineers and non-technical stakeholders
  • Build and maintain data workflows using Microsoft Fabric
  • Improve system reliability, performance, and clarity over time

Requirements

Do you have experience in Writing skills?, * Strong proficiency in Python

  • Proven ability to deeply learn and work with unfamiliar libraries
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail in testing and validation
  • Comfort reading source code to understand actual behavior
  • Experience writing meaningful unit tests
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment
  • Working hours that align well with U.S. Eastern Time

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including notebooks, Lakehouse, or Warehouses
  • Experience validating numerical or data-driven outputs
  • Strong debugging skills in production systems
  • Background in numerical computing, optimization, or modeling
  • Experience taking ownership of critical systems
