Job description

Our law firm is looking to hire an IT Generalist responsible for maintaining the organization’s day-to-day IT operations. This position would bridge the gap between end-user support and infrastructure management by troubleshooting hardware and software, administering user accounts, and supporting network and server systems., * Help Desk & End-User Support: Provide technical support for workstations, laptops, printers, scanners etc.

  • Systems Administration: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across core platforms. We use Microsoft Office products, CLIO case management and Juris.
  • Hardware & Software Management: Install, configure, and update software applications and hardware components. Maintain accurate IT asset and licensing inventories.
  • Network & Security Support: Monitor network performance, maintain antivirus and endpoint security systems, and ensure regular data backups.
  • Vendor & Project Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors for internet services, specialized software, or hardware maintenance. Assist with broader IT initiatives like system migrations or office moves.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field or comparable experience.

  • Certifications: Industry credentials like CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Fundamentals are highly preferred. Experience in Clio, Juris, Sage or Aderant would be a plus.
  • Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, fundamental networking principles and basic cybersecurity best practices.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills for non-technical staff, and high emotional intelligence for customer service.
