Telecommunications Technician

Position Summary: The Telecom Technician will participate in the installation or maintenance and inspection of telecommunication systems and associated processes., * Regular attendance at assigned location that may include office or other project sites

• Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients
• Installs cable supports, through floor and wall sleeves, fire stopping materials
• Install relays, cabinets, network switches
• Terminates data, voice, coaxial, control, and fiber optic cables
• Install cable trays above and below floors
• Ability to work in small spaces
• Test cables to TIA/EIA level II standards with cable analyzer and fiber test equipment, * Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Follow plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers
• Strict adherence to all safety rules and quality
• Participate in site housekeeping
• Interact with all co-workers and clients in an attentive courteous manner
• Perform additional duties as directed by Management
• At times may perform clerical/administrative duties

• High School Diploma or relevant work experience
• 2-5 years of field experience, trade school, or apprenticeship
• OSHA 10 certification
