Job description

  • Install, configure, and test software on desktops, laptops, and tablets.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on endpoint devices.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to staff and faculty.
  • Configure, install, and support various IT devices and peripherals.
  • Respond to service desk tickets and document resolutions.
  • Perform hardware/software upgrades, preventative maintenance, and system backups.
  • Maintain asset inventory of hardware and software at assigned locations.
  • Assist in implementation and testing of new technologies and systems.
  • Collaborate with building staff and departments to integrate tech solutions into daily operations.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports as needed.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Technical writing within technology?, A local Ohio school district is seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Field Technician to support the configuration, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of technology across multiple school sites. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a solid technical foundation, and a passion for supporting educators and students in a technology-driven learning environment., * Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware/software in a networked environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, standard software applications, and endpoint devices.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple school sites.
  • Valid State of Ohio driver’s license is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting technology in an educational or public-sector environment.
  • Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems and remote support tools.
