Desktop Specialist Technician - Tier 1

Description: South Windsor Public Schools is seeking a desktop specialist technician - tier 1 support to fill an immediate vacancy. This is a year-round position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, which includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch. Under the supervision of the Director of Technical Operations and Services, the technician will support the goals of the technology department by maintaining systems, peripherals and applications. The technician will support users through multiple support channels and training opportunities., Duties will include: Provide resolution to service break/fix incidents. Configure, deploy, and maintain Windows and ChromeOS-based systems. Maintain accurate records of device status, configuration, and issuance. Produce technical aides (such as how-to videos, reference documents, etc.) Provide faculty/staff training in technology utilization. Provide configuration change recommendations. Other tasks and assignments as needed.

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in School experience?, Qualifications: Applicants must possess 2 (two) years’ experience supporting a variety of technologies in a school or corporate environment. Experience with Google Apps, Chromebooks, and relevant certifications is a plus. Valid CT driver’s license and dependable transportation required.
