Job description

  • Handle support calls for national fitness club locations in Phoenix and the surrounding area
  • Examples of common calls include hardware malfunctions, software errors, user training, system outages and network failures.
  • Provide advanced support via telephone to troubleshoot computer hardware, Windows Operating Systems, hardware malfunctions, and network outages.
  • Open service requests for new support incidents as they are reported; update and close them in a timely manner.
  • Visit fitness clubs within the area to perform onsite trouble-shooting, hardware installation and repair.
  • Perform installs, moves, adds and changes of computers, peripheral devices and network components.
  • Perform hardware inventories and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Contact warranty repair centers and coordinate onsite repair of hardware under warranty.
  • Coordinate proper disposition of faulty hardware as directed by corporate office.
  • Periodically perform large scale deployments of workstations and other hardware
  • Regularly conduct preventative maintenance inspections of workstations and network equipment at fitness clubs to proactively maintain efficient system performance and maintain a clean and professional work environment.
  • Professionally manage cables and wiring for computers and other hardware.
  • Regularly visit every fitness club in the assigned area.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical support?, * Proven experience in hardware and troubleshooting and repair.

  • A+ Certification preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience, providing technical support in a Windows environment, and proficiency working with Microsoft Operating Systems, PC hardware, and TCP/IP networks is required.
  • Experience supporting retail or branch office environments is helpful.
  • Two or more years of experience as a remote and self-managed technician is preferred.
  • Candidates must demonstrate strong customer service skills, excellent oral and written communications, and diligent follow-through, have an eye for detail, and effectively prioritize workload in a demanding role.
