Job description

Our client, a growing MSP, is seeking a Systems Administrator II to join their team in Akron. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving a wide variety of technical issues, working directly with end users, and supporting Microsoft-based environments. You will troubleshoot everything from Microsoft 365 and Active Directory issues to networking, server, and firewall-related tickets while partnering with senior engineers on more complex challenges. While MSP experience is certainly valued, the client is also open to candidates coming from internal IT environments who have worn multiple hats and thrive in fast-paced settings. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator who can build trust with users, remain calm under pressure, and approach unfamiliar problems with a strong troubleshooting mindset. This is an opportunity to join a stable team with excellent tenure, true work-life balance, flexibility when needed, and a leadership group that prioritizes employee well-being over burnout. The company has built a reputation for retaining employees by offering the flexibility, support, and work-life balance that can be difficult to find within the MSP industry.

Important Note: While this role does offer some flexibility, candidates should expect to work onsite during the initial onboarding and training period, which typically lasts 3-6 months. Once fully ramped up, employees have the option to work from home a couple of times throughout the week. That said, this position will remain primarily office-based and is not intended to be a fully remote opportunity.
