Job description

  • Design mechanical components for Sentera sensors and hardware
  • Plan and execute integration of hardware with new UAS platforms
  • Maintain and enhance existing sensor integrations
  • Conduct UAS flight testing and validation activities
  • Design, fabricate, and document wire harnesses
  • Develop and maintain engineering, production, and user documentation
  • Provide Level 2 engineering support
  • Perform hardware/software compatibility testing across sensors, UAS platforms, and third-party software
  • Create and manage engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOMs)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 1 year of CAD experience (PTC Creo preferred)
  • Ability to obtain FAA Part 107 certification within 3 months
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and independent problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent troubleshooting, attention to detail, and communication skills
  • Motivated team player with strong collaboration abilities, * Experience with UAS (drone) platforms
  • Familiarity with Pixhawk autopilots (PX4 or Ardupilot)
  • Knowledge of MAVLink communication protocol
