Job description
Role Overview: We are looking for a hardworking, reliable Installation Assistant to join our telecom SuperBroadband field teams. You will be paired with a Lead Telecom Technician in a two-man team, traveling together in a company-provided vehicle to commercial sites across the region. You will be responsible for the physical build-out of satellite and cellular systems on rooftops, ensuring the Lead Tech has the support needed to get the site online.
Scope As the āHandsā of the two-man team, your core responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Lead with vehicle inventory, loading equipment each morning, and navigating to project sites.
- Setting up safety cones/signage and staging equipment (cinder blocks, mounts, and dishes) once on-site.
- Assembling āNon-Penetratingā ballast mounts (weighted frames) on flat commercial roofs.
- Securing the Starlink High-Performance dish and the 5G antenna to the mounting structures.
- Pulling shielded Cat6 cable from the roof into the building, often through conduits, drop ceilings, or internal raceways.
- Assisting in running copper ground wires and crimping lugs to ensure the site meets T-Mobileās strict electrical safety standards.
- Applying industrial sealants to any roof or wall penetrations to ensure a 100% watertight finish.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Electrical cable pulling?, * You will be part of a dedicated two-man crew, riding along with the Lead Technician to various job sites. Strong communication and a professional attitude are a must.
- Must be open to Regional Travel. While much of the work is local, you will occasionally travel to neighboring markets. Per diem is provided for all travel outside of the home market.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active on your feet all day. You must be comfortable climbing ladders and working on commercial rooftops.
- Basic knowledge of or willingness to learn how to route and pull network cabling through commercial buildings.
- Must be able to pass a background check
