Job description
We are seeking a seasoned Program Director with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Aerospace & Defense (A&D) solutions and Aircraft Fleet Management (AFM) to lead large-scale transformation programs for Aerospace, Defense, Aviation, and Government clients.
The ideal candidate will come from a leading System Integrator (SI) or Consulting organization and possess extensive experience delivering SAP S/4HANA programs involving Aerospace & Defense processes, Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO), Aircraft Fleet Management, Asset Management, Supply Chain, and Defense logistics operations.
This role combines executive-level program leadership, solution architecture oversight, business transformation consulting, and client relationship management., Program Leadership & Transformation
- Lead multi-million-dollar SAP S/4HANA transformation programs within Aerospace & Defense organizations.
- Define strategic roadmaps for modernization of legacy ERP and maintenance systems.
- Establish program governance, risk management, quality assurance, and executive reporting frameworks.
- Manage global delivery teams across functional, technical, integration, and change management workstreams.
- Ensure successful delivery of SAP programs within budget, scope, and timeline.
SAP A&D / AFM Solution Architecture
- Serve as the executive solution lead for SAP S/4HANA Aerospace & Defense implementations.
- Design and govern enterprise solutions supporting:
- Aircraft Fleet Management (AFM)
- Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO)
- Defense Logistics
- Depot Maintenance
- Fleet Readiness
- Serialized Asset Management
- Supply Chain Management
- Procurement & Inventory
- Engineering Change Management
- Project Systems
- Service Management
- Ensure alignment with SAP Best Practices and industry regulatory requirements., * Act as trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs, Supply Chain Executives, Maintenance Operations Leaders, and Defense Program Executives.
- Facilitate executive steering committee meetings.
- Translate business objectives into SAP-enabled transformation strategies.
- Drive executive decision-making and program governance.
Delivery & Solution Oversight
- Lead architecture reviews, solution governance, and design authority boards.
- Oversee integration with:
- SAP EAM
- SAP PM
- SAP MM
- SAP SD
- SAP PP
- SAP PS
- SAP TM
- SAP IBP
- Third-party MRO systems
- Defense logistics applications
- Ensure scalable, compliant, and future-ready solution architectures.
Business Development & Advisory
- Support SAP A&D practice growth initiatives.
- Lead RFP responses and solution proposals.
- Participate in client pursuits and executive presentations.
- Mentor consulting teams and solution architects.
Requirements
- 15+ years of SAP consulting experience.
- 8+ years leading large SAP transformation programs.
- Multiple end-to-end SAP Aerospace & Defense implementations.
- Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA A&D and Aircraft Fleet Management (AFM).
- Strong understanding of MRO and fleet maintenance operations.
- Experience designing enterprise-scale SAP solution architectures.
- Proven experience managing global consulting engagements.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
