IT Network Administrator

Job Summary: Network Administrator reports directly to the IT System Administrator Supervisor. Responsibilities include monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues and ensuring the security and efficiency of IT infrastructure. This position will work closely with the IT System Administrator Supervisor and offer suggestions and ideas for future network capacity planning to ensure the K&M Tire network runs consistently and efficiently., 1. Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.

1. Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, switches, load balancers, VPN, and QoS.
2. Procuring network equipment and managing installers involved with network installation.
3. Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
4. Arranging scheduled upgrades and updating network equipment to latest firmware releases.
5. Investigating faults in the network while troubleshooting issues and outages.
6. Monitor network status and report to key stakeholders.
7. Reporting network status to key stakeholders.
8. Manage backups with other Admin team members.
9. Support company goals and uphold K&M Values
10. Perform other duties as appropriate and assigned.
11. Lead the design and implementation of new network solutions and improvements. II
12. Responsible for keeping self and organization informed on relevant emerging technologies that support Mission Vision Values. II
13. Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation. II
14. Conduct advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution for network issues. II
15. Automate routine network tasks through scripting. II
16. Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance network performance and security. III
17. Act as the primary point of contact for network-related escalations and complex troubleshooting. III
18. Mentor and provide technical leadership to IT department for all networking functions. III
19. Provide expert guidance on network architecture and strategic planning. III

Do you have experience in Wireless network configuration?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, 1. Understanding of SIP and Phone Management.

1. Understanding of Active Directory.
2. Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
3. Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., Flex VPN, EIGRP, 802.11, QoS).
4. Solid understanding of the OSI model.
5. Create and maintain building schematics with our facilities team.
6. Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostics and network analytic tools.
7. Ability to install wiring, equipment, and run a scissor lift.
8. Familiarity with project management concepts.
9. Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
10. Must have the ability to work independently.
11. Must be willing and able to work after normal business hours or weekends.
12. Must be willing to do occasional traveling to other locations within the company., Associate Computer Science degree or equivalent experience. CCNA or equivalent knowledge level. 2 years of experience in routing, switching, wireless, and VPN technology., Computer Science bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 5 years of experience in routing, switching, and VPN technology.
