IP Network Engineer II

This resource will be working remotly during typical daytime business hours in the Alaska time zone Monday through Friday totaling 40 hours a week

We’re looking for an IP Network Engineer II to help design, build, and support large-scale carrier-grade networks. This is a great opportunity to work on IP/MPLS core networks, carrier Ethernet, and next-generation network technologies while collaborating with a highly skilled engineering team. What You’ll Do

• Design, implement, and support IP/MPLS core network solutions
• Test and validate new technologies and architectures in lab environments
• Develop engineering plans, estimates, and installation packages
• Provide escalation and troubleshooting support for network operations teams
• Collaborate across teams to ensure a reliable, scalable, and high-performing network

• 4+ years of experience in a carrier Ethernet or large ISP environment
• Strong expertise in IP networking and network engineering concepts
• Hands-on experience with routers/switches (Nokia/Alcatel)
• Deep understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS,)
• Knowledge of MPLS technologies (RSVP, LDP)
• Experience with Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, STP, LACP, MC-LAG)
• Ability to design scalable, highly available, and secure networks

Nice to Have Certifications such as, Nokia NRS 1 or 2 Experience with data center networking and various transport technologies (fiber, microwave, cellular, etc.)

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Little Rock, AR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
