Usability Designer (Hybrid)

We’re hiring a Usability Designer to join our team in Columbia, SC. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with onsite work required Tuesday through Thursday., * Conduct user research to gain insights into user behavior, preferences, and pain points

• Create user personas to help understand and empathize with the user and to design solutions that meet their needs
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs to guide the development of the product and work closely with developers to ensure correct implementation
• Test the product with users to identify usability issues and iterate on the design to improve the user experience

• Ability to obtain a low-level U.S. security clearance, which requires a thorough background screening and U.S. citizenship
• 2 years of user interface design experience
• Strong experience using Figma to create mockups
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite for logo creation and other design needs
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Comfortable leading meetings related to active projects
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong collaboration skills; works well with others
• Excellent communication skills, * Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Behavioral Research, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree
