Job description

  • Develop and review mechanical and piping designs for data center modules

  • Check and approve engineering drawings, layouts, and documentation

  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure designs meet project and code requirements

  • Review vendor drawings and technical submittals (vendor experience is a strong plus)

  • Support preparation of technical requisitions and equipment specifications

  • Assist with material take-offs (MTOs) and bills of materials (BOMs)

  • Partner with manufacturing teams to support build and resolve design issues

Requirements

This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for candidates with 3-10 years of experience in mechanical design and a strong interest in large-scale infrastructure or data centers., + Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or related field)

  • 3-10 years of mechanical design experience

  • Experience with piping systems and mechanical equipment design

  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, NFPA, etc.)

  • Experience reviewing or working with vendor drawings/submittals preferred

  • Proficiency with CAD/BIM tools (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams

  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US without sponsorship.

Nice to Have

  • Data center, industrial, or modular construction experience

  • Exposure to cooling systems, pumps, valves, or fire protection systems

  • EIT or PE certification (not required)
