Job description

  • The District seeks resource(s) that will perform the required work closely with project team members and perform below responsibilities:
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting local area networks, wireless networks, VIP systems, IP Public Address/Intercom and IP Video Camera systems.
  • Configuring a variety of networking equipment.
  • Analyzing and solving networking problems.
  • Reviewing and evaluating IT system designs for compliance with industry standards.
  • Conducting site surveys and n-site assessments and preparation of design/scope f-work (SW) for installations.
  • Preparing clear and concise reports and technical documentation.
  • Formulating and expressing ideas clearly and effectively in writing and rally.
  • Setting priorities and successfully completing tasks in a timely manner.
  • Related tasks:

  • Conduct site surveys
  • Develop scope of work
  • Create bill of material
  • Accept equipment deliveries at warehouse
  • Create asset workbooks
  • Generate e-mails of status completion
  • Rearranging Network equipment
  • Install power equipment (UPS/Stepdown Transformers)
  • Install and configure network switches, modules, cards etc
  • Install and configure IP converged system equipment
  • Install Cat6e/Fiber patch Cards
  • Troubleshoot LAN equipment

Maintain effective relationships with District personnel and the organization.

Requirements

  • A California Driver’’s license, use of a car and be able to carry tools and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • A California Driver’’s license and use of a car., * Proposed candidate shall have 3 years f experience installing and configuring low voltage IT systems.
  • Experience in the following area(s) is preferred:

  • Genetec Omnicast Certification
  • Genetec Synergis Certification
  • BICSI RCDD Certification
  • 1 year in the following areas:

  • Genetec Security Center 5.11 r newer
  • Cisco Client Enterprise Network Configuration
  • Cisco and Aruba Local Wireless Controller
  • Cisco VoIP and CUCM
  • Valcom IP Public Address
  • DMP(Digital Monitoring Products)

Gd verbal and written communication skills.
