Student Assistant for Advanced Topics of Software Engineering

The project will be used as the central practical assignment of the course and will involve the development of a microservice-based application from scratch. The position is mostly remote, with several on-site update meetings, and is to be filled as soon as possible for six months, for 9 to 20 hours per week, with implementation-related tasks during the summer and maintenance, presentation, and teaching-support tasks during the semester., * Development tasks: end-to-end implementation of a microservice-based application, including REST APIs, frontend, backend, database connectivity, and testing

• Organisational tasks: conducting 4-5 central exercise sessions during the semester
• Maintenance tasks: maintaining the application, supporting students in using it, and helping resolve implementation-related issues during the course

• Strong Java experience, preferably Java 21+, and familiarity with Spring Boot, JDBC, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL
• Experience with JavaScript-based front-end development, for example React or Angular
• Ability to work independently, discuss technical design decisions, and produce quality code that other students can later read, run, and extend, The working language is English.
