AWS Cloud Engineer job in Columbia

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a AWS Cloud Engineer for a hybrid opportunity in Columbia, SC. Candidate will support enterprise cloud infrastructure initiatives focused on AWS platform administration, automation, and modernization efforts. This role will partner with engineering, development, and operations teams to deliver scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based solutions supporting mission-critical systems and customer engagement platforms., * Design, deploy, administer, and optimize AWS infrastructure and cloud-native solutions

• Support Amazon Connect environments, including routing, integrations, troubleshooting, and analytics
• Implement automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions to improve operational efficiency
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, security, and cost optimization opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support CI/CD pipelines, integrations, and compliance initiatives
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues while maintaining documentation and operational procedures

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional OR AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certification required
• 6+ years of experience supporting enterprise-level infrastructure and applications
• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering or developing solutions in AWS environments
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, IAM, Lambda, VPC, S3, and CloudWatch
• Experience supporting Amazon Connect or similar cloud-based contact center technologies
• Experience building integrations using APIs, serverless technologies, and cloud-native services
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Knowledge of cloud security, monitoring, logging, and operational best practices
• Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or related technologies

Preferred Skills/Experience of the AWS Cloud Engineer:

• Experience with AI/ML integrations and prompt engineering concepts
• Exposure to hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments
• Experience with cost optimization and cloud financial management practices
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services and architecture
• Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect certification preferred
