You will play a key role in overseeing technical standards, improving service quality, supporting infrastructure projects, and providing internal technical assurance across the organisation.

Ensure tickets, changes, and projects are managed within agreed service levels

Coordinate with third-party vendors and suppliers to support issue resolution and project delivery

Technical Support & Problem Resolution

Investigate complex technical issues across infrastructure, cloud services, applications, and end-user environments

Support Microsoft 365 technologies including Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, VPN, and remote access solutions

Assist with networking issues including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, routing, and switching

Identify recurring problems and implement long-term improvements and preventative measures

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

Maintain clear technical documentation, system records, and operational procedures

Contribute to process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational efficiency initiatives

Support internal knowledge sharing and user guidance where required

Stay up to date with emerging technologies, cybersecurity risks, and industry best practice

Requirements

Do you have experience in VPN?, Proven experience in a senior IT support, infrastructure, or systems administration role

Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Windows Server, and networking technologies

Experience working alongside external IT providers or managed service partners

Ability to independently troubleshoot and assess technical issues with a methodical approach

Strong understanding of infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and business IT operations

Experience supporting IT projects, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities independently

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail

Desirable Skills & Certifications

Microsoft certifications (Modern Workplace, Azure, Security, or Infrastructure related)

Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or virtualised environments

Experience with firewalls, Wi-Fi, and network security technologies

Familiarity with Cyber Essentials or IT governance frameworks
