Amy Yuan

Amy leads developer productivity, AI transformation and Technical Program Manager for engineering at Snowflake. Snowflake developer productivity has gone through a complete turnaround in 2024 and 2025, boosting both productivity and developer sentiment. With the advent of agentic coding, we have seen productivity more than double in 2026. Before Snowflake, Amy led the infrastructure team of Azure SQL at Microsoft, which includes observability, supportability, deployment and release infrastructure, data science and business analytics. She is passionate about building the team culture where everyone feels a sense of belonging. Amy is known as the “Carrie Bradshaw of Snowflake” for her enviable shoe collection. Amy grew up in China, and got her BS and MS in CS from University of Maryland. In her infinite free time, she enjoys baking 🍰, traveling ✈, reading 📖 and being tiger mom 🐯 to her two tiger cubs.
