Beth Rudden runs Bast AI and still writes the code. Her company builds AI for hospitals that can show you the exact sentence in the exact record its answer came from. Before that she spent twenty-five years at IBM: Distinguished Engineer, more than thirty patents, Chief Data Officer for the managed services business, and founder of the data science profession there. She sat on the boards that decide who moves up in a company of 350,000 people, and helped change who was sitting in those rooms. She studied archaeology first, which is why everything she builds keeps a record of where it came from.
