Jasmit Kaur Saluja

I'm a Software Engineer at Meta Platforms, where I build large-scale distributed systems powering products used by billions of people. I designed and scaled the Facebook Ordered Queueing Service (FOQS), a globally distributed, disaster-ready priority queue processing roughly one trillion items daily across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp, including its cross-region failover architecture. I co-presented this work at Systems @Scale, and it's featured on Meta's Engineering Blog. Earlier, I co-authored "vNFS: Maximizing NFS Performance with Compounds and Vectorized I/O". I now work on Meta's Functions-as-a-Service infrastructure, after previously managing engineering teams across queueing and serverless systems. I'm passionate about building infrastructure that scales without compromising correctness.
