Jirka Bachel

Jirka Bachel is the co-founder and CEO of Navigara and was a CTO for 15 years before that. He spent those years translating engineering delivery into language a board would accept, and did it mostly on instinct, because the numbers available to him described activity rather than what shipped. He built the scoring model behind Navigara's Engineering Throughput Value: a deterministic method that reads merged commits and rates each change by the depth of work it represents. It is published as the 500 OSS Performance Index across Microsoft, Meta, OpenAI, Google, Vercel, and Cloudflare, with the full methodology open for inspection. Navigara is based in San Francisco, with engineering in Prague, and is backed by a $2.5M seed round led by Inovo VC, with Rockaway Ventures and QQ Capital. It's deployed at ESET, Kiwi.com, FTMO, Finshape, Partners Banka, Purple Technology, Kegg, Greyson, GTO Wizard, and Second Foundation, running read-only inside the customer's own cloud with no code retention and no training on customer data.
