Kavya Sri Chennoju

Kavya is a Staff AI Engineer at Arm, where she designs and optimizes machine learning models for AI-enabled compute platforms across edge, embedded, and cloud environments. Before Arm, she served as a Senior Software Engineer at Amazon, where she spent five years building some of Alexa's most ambitious AI features including a real-time vision system that lets users query the world through a camera, a multimodal visual memory system using retrieval-augmented generation, and a contextual screen-awareness pipeline powering voice interactions across 47 customer experiences. She led cross-functional teams of engineers and applied scientists, and her work touched over 22 million weekly Alexa interactions. With a passion for hands-on hardware tinkering and a deep understanding of the full AI hardware-software stack, Kavya bridges the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world engineering. She believes the most exciting AI isn't running in the cloud it's running on the device in your pocket, or the $35 board on your desk. Outside work, she powers through yoga sessions and uses AI to fuel her 4-year-old's endless curiosity about the world.
