Michal Salanci

Most cloud engineers don't begin with a PhD in history. Michal did. In 2009, he traded archives for networking and spent the next decade designing and operating enterprise networks, working with routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers - up to 2021 when he decided he had spent enough time with packets and moved into AWS cloud engineering, where he works mostly on cloud security, containers and AI topics. Since 2023 Michal is an AWS Community Builder (Containers) and in same year he founded the AWS User Group Košice, Slovakia.
