Nikolai Sidiropulo
Software Engineer · Meta
I am a software engineer and technical leader specializing in large-scale mobile infrastructure, iOS architecture, performance optimization, and privacy-sensitive client-side systems. Over the past decade, I have worked across global technology companies and major financial institutions, building systems that support products used by millions — and in some cases billions — of people.
At Meta, I work on Instagram’s iOS infrastructure, focusing on application responsiveness, startup performance, rendering efficiency, network data handling, and scalable experimentation. My work involves leading complex cross-functional initiatives across engineering, product, machine learning, analytics, legal, and privacy teams, turning ambiguous business and technical challenges into reliable systems shipped at global scale.
Earlier, at Meta Audience Network, I worked on monetization infrastructure for video and playable ads and helped design privacy-compliant architectures in response to major platform and regulatory shifts, including GDPR and Apple’s tracking changes. Before that, I led mobile architecture initiatives at T-Bank, including the Faster Payments System integration, server-driven UI platforms, media delivery infrastructure, and modernization of core mobile architecture. I also led the iOS department at Vivid Money, where I managed an organization of about 20 engineers and introduced engineering practices adopted across the company.
In my talks, I focus on practical engineering lessons from building, scaling, and optimizing mobile systems in high-impact environments.
