Ted Way

ed Way, PhD, is a VP and Chief Product Officer of SAP Business AI Product Engineering, partnering with SAP lines-of-business product teams to ship AI capabilities that transform business processes and make the world run better. Previously, he was at Microsoft for 15 years, most recently as a principal product manager in Microsoft Business Applications. He drove the shipping of generative AI capabilities such as creating and automating flows and apps with natural language in Power Platform, which over 300K end users used. Ted received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. His PhD dissertation was on “spell check for radiologists,” a computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system that uses AI to predict lung cancer malignancy on chest CT scans.
