Thomas Dohmke

Fascinated by software development since his childhood in Germany, Thomas Dohmke has built a career creating tools developers love. He is currently working on a new startup in this space. Formerly, Thomas was Chief Executive Officer of GitHub, where he led the company’s growth to over 150 million developers and oversaw the rise of GitHub Copilot — the world’s most widely adopted AI developer tool — now with over 20 million users and counting. Thomas is a celebrated TED speaker and holds a PhD in mechanical engineering from the University of Glasgow, UK.
