Vaibhav Kumar

Vaibhav (Vaibs) Kumar is the Global CTO at IFS, heading the core technology units within IFS PCO that build the IFS Cloud suite — spanning the technology platform, data and AI services, application platform and frameworks, and experience capabilities. Vaibs has spent his career building high-autonomy, quality-first product development teams across Asia, Europe, and the USA, with a sharp focus on automation and engineering excellence as the foundations of scale. He is passionate about how digital technology can transform businesses and deliver material bottom-line impact. Before IFS, he served as Chief Architect for Shell's Renewables & Energy Solutions organisation, spanning power generation, retail energy, hydrogen, nature-based solutions, and carbon capture. Over 15 years at Shell, he held roles ranging from Business Advisor to the EVP and CIO of Royal Dutch Shell to founding the Shell Agile Hub - an in-house product development capability that pioneered design-led development and early adoption of cloud-native technologies including Docker and Kubernetes, driving a product transformation across the enterprise. Away from work, Vaibs and his wife Nataliya share a passion for cooking, wine, and travel, and spend as much time as possible with their son Neal and their Scottish Fold cat.
